On Becoming and Being A Transformational Leader: The Case of Selected Elementary School Principals
Synopsis
The research is concerned with concerned in investigating if some of the selected elementary school principals were on the state of becoming and being transformational leaders by determining how transformational leadership was manifested by them in terms of the ff : idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation; and individualized consideration which became the basis of the transformational leadership development program. The case study method was utilized to determine the state of becoming and being a transformational leader. The purposive sampling involved five selected elementary school principal Bulacan Outstanding Administrators, Teachers and Supervisors (BOATS) awardees, and five teachers who had been under their leadership for at least three years. A semi- structured interview schedule was prepared by the researcher and was validated by five experts in the specialization in Educational Management. After the validation, in-depth interviews were personally conducted with respondents. Observations and document analysis were also used to support the data obtained.
