Synopsis

The school limitation, including both human and material, causes difficulty in baseball coaching. This study led to the development of an athlete-centered inspired baseball training guide to address this concern. Five (5) PE teachers, four (4) national players, three (3) local coaches, nine (9) club coaches, and three (3) college baseball coaches took part in the study. The researcher used a descriptive developmental method with survey and interview approaches. The respondents positively perceived the objectives, contents, and presentation of activities with a high level of acceptance and usefulness in the profession. The conclusion drawn from the results included the following points. First, the aims clearly stated realistic, feasible, and attainable statements that remained consistent with the activities. Second, the contents sufficiently addressed the identified needs in clear, proper, suitable manners. Third, the activities and illustrations clearly presented the method of the athlete-centered approach. Finally, the training guide may serve as a supplemental learning material. This study recommends the use of this material for the facilitation of an athlete-centered baseball training.
