The Perception of Insight Notes as a Support Teaching Strategy in Social Studies among Grade 6 Students of Manila Cathedral School

Educators must not only think the quality of their teaching strategy as a book that contains good ideas and concepts, but also as a book of their students’ reflection. This study seeks the perception of the Grade six students of the Manila Cathedral School of school year 2018 – 2019 on the effectiveness of the worksheet “Insight Notes” to their learning style or study habit. Since “Insight Notes” have the following two effects: first for the sixth-grade students, that enhances their critical thinking or there are many changes in their learning style in studying social studies, second this also help the facilitators or Social Studies Teachers to establish better classroom management. Descriptive Statistics and Likert scale were used to analyze the perception of the participants, whether if they strongly agree, agree, disagree or even strongly disagree on the support teaching strategy “Insight Notes”. This is also considered an indirect investigation on part of being a social science teacher whether that there are changes to the learners study habits or even in their classroom behavior. In other words the present study may consider simple, but it has an impact to both the learners and to the social studies teachers that will lead them on a professional development.
