Supplementary Reading Materials in English (SURE) for Struggling Grade VII Readers

The study aims to develop Supplementary Reading Materials in English (SURE) for struggling grade seven learners based on identified reading skill weaknesses as evidenced from Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (PHIL-IRI) and periodic exam results. To achieve this purpose, the researcher employed the descriptive method of research in the process of development of instructional materials, which were then evaluated by six English teachers using the 5-point Likert scale to assess the objectives, content, format and design, language, and usefulness of said materials.
