Development and Validation of Instructional Resource Materials in Teaching Reading Comprehension to Grade III Pupils

This study aimed to develop instructional reading materials which would help teachers in enhancing the development of reading comprehension of the Grade III pupils in Alabang Elementary School. Specifically this study aimed to answer the following questions:

1. What are the identified least mastered skills in reading of grade III pupils based on the Philippine Elementary Learning Competencies (PELC)?
2. What are the least mastered skills in Reading of Grade III pupils based on the perception of Grade III teachers?
3. What instructional material could be developed to improve reading comprehension of Grade III pupils?
