Band Arrangement and Analysis of Collected DepEd Bulacan Songs

Musical arrangement is considered valuable in understanding musical concepts that maybe taught in the school band. DepEd song arrangements will offer deeper insights into appreciation of the ideals and aspiration of the San Miguel National High School and the people of Bulacan. Hence, it is imperative that an analysis be done on the possible positive effect of introducing musical arrangements to enhance the students' appreciation to music. The main purpose of this study is to arrange the DepEd Bulacan marches for San Miguel National High School Band use. This research is descriptive in nature. It involved the collection of data in order to determine the status and descriptions of the DepEd Bulacan songs under study. The hymns and marches of the DepEd Bulacan songs are chosen for arrangements and analysis because the pieces could be used for SMNHS band.
