Traditional Games of Maonon. Ligao City: A Documentation and Analysis

This study documented and analyzed the traditional games of Maonon, Ligao City terms of the following: title, nature and origin of the games, materials needed, game skills, rules and procedures, and values of the game. Finally, the applicability of the documented games for Physical Education Classes was determined. This study is a documentary analysis type of research. To gather data, unstructured observation was conducted, questionnaires were administered, senior citizens were interviewed, and the children were documented. The subjects of this study were the children and eighty two (82) senior citizens of the Brgy. Maonon, Ligao City. With the aim of documenting and analysing the traditional games of Brgy. Maonon, four research instruments were employed and were validated by experts: Unstructured observation method, documentation using photo and video camera for the games played by the children, checklist format questionnaire, and questionnaire for unstructured interview in Tagalog dialect for the
