The Mathematics Performance of Students in the National Achievement Test: Basis for the Development of Materials for Remedial Instruction

The study analyzed the mathematics performance of the second year high school students as basis for the development of instructional materials for remediation. The weaknesses and difficulties of the second year high school students in Mathematics were identified based on the results of the National Achievement Test. The descriptive-development research design was employed in this study. The development of the instructional material followed a four-stage process namely: Needs Analysis and Planning, Development, Validation, Revision, and Finalization.
