Synopsis

The selection of a teaching methodology for a classroom interaction is often without due consideration for the preferences of the students, selfdom, if ever are the students consulted. As a probable consequence, a professor’s instructional methodology maybe too discrepant from the students’ preferences so as to fail tomaximize the students’ opportunity for learning. The mismatch may be one large single factor that accounts for variance in learning.
