Teachers' Competencies in Relation to Pupils' Academic Performance in San Pedro Central School S.Y. 2013-2015

The quality of education depends upon the provision of education that is being provided by two sources these are the teachers and the curriculum. This descriptive study aimed to investigate and determine the relationship of teachers' teaching competencies in the academic performance of the grade six pupils in San Pedro Central School, and to make recommendations for the teachers, school heads and the district supervisor who are required to produce the needs of the pupils to have quality education. In this study, the researcher utilized the purposive sampling technique in determining the teachers who would be the actual respondents of the study and the descriptive survey method with the use of questionnaire as the main source of data of the researcher.
