Development of a Child Stress Checklist

One important focus of a research study is the development of local methods to measure theoretical traits/ constructs. The development of a Child Stress Checklist is one answer to that need to measure child stress among elementary students based on its identified categories and indicators. To carry out the objectives of this study, specific and observable behaviors and actions of children under stress were identified based on the survey among ten(10) administrators and educators in private elementary schools. The subjects themselves have generously contributed insights and perceptions based on their daily experiences in school as educators, and at home as parents of their own children. Supplementary concepts were also derived from a number of related literature and studies which contributed immensely to this study.
