Synopsis

The study analyzed and described how Vietnamese teachers and students negotiate meaning during their English class in an EFL context. Specifically, the study sought answers to find out: the triggers and signals that show the need for teachers and students to negotiate meaning in EFL classrooms; negotiation evidences in the EFL classroom from teacher to students and vice-versa; strategies that teachers and students use to negotiate meaning; and a proposed model of 'Negotiation of Meaning among Teacher and Students in EFL Classrooms'.
