Intergenerational Literacy Practices of Multilingual Families
Synopsis
Grounded on the lived experiences of the three multilingual families composed of grandparents, parents and preschool-aged children, this present study attempted to develop a theory to describe and explain the literacy practices that occur in homes of multilingual families. In the desire to understand how literacy is transferred from one generation to the next, the study used qualitative design specifically employing Grounded Theory.
