ESL Students' Learning Styles and Language Learning Strategies in Relation to Academic Performance: Bases for an ESL Teaching Framework

The main purpose of this study was to describe the learning styles and strategies employedby 219 second year education students from selected universities in Region IV-A (CALABARZON) in relation to their academic performance. Specific purposes were to describe the respondents' learning styles, and strategies and academic performance, also to identify the significant relationships that exist between and among learning styles, learning strategies, and academic performance and to develop an ESL Teaching Framework based on the findings.
