The Development of a Faculty Welfare Manual for City-Run Colleges in a Region

Synopsis

The study attempted to develop the faculty welfare manual in order to facilitate the provision of requisite policy statements for faculty welfare programs toward the attainment of quality education by the local colleges or LGU-run higher education institutions in Region 3. This was based on the respondents' assessment of the level of implementation of the human resource development (HRD) components or activities in the target institutions, operationally defined as: a.) recruitment, selection and retention, b.) professional training and development, c.) assessment and promotion, d.) fringe benefits and wellness, and e.) retirement scheme and benefits.
