Developing an Oral Communication Program for Korean EFL Students

Synopsis

The number of international students who come to the Philippines to study has more than doubled over the past years. Today, different institutions and universities are officially offering English programs for foreign students. However, most of these schools do not have standard guidelines in developing specialized programs for EFL students. Likewise, most of their available courses and or modules are mostly designed for ESL learners. Thus, the primary purpose of this study is to develop a language program for EFL students that is based on the salient features of the Language Curriculum Design of Paul Nation and John Macalister (2010) and Outcome-based Education Curriculum Model of John Biggs and Catherine Tang (2007).
