Synopsis

Science achievement levels among students are low, especially in Physics, and this does not manifest the aim of the curriculum to achieve quality education and global competitiveness. The role of technology is promising as it can be presented in different tools and modes of delivery, and one of its innovations is in the form of Augmented Reality (AR). AR technology has been shown to enhance the learning experience of students by making abstract concepts merge with virtual information, fostering engagement, and improving academic performance. This study aims to develop and validate an Augmented Reality-based instruction material in Electric Current for Grade 9 students. To achieve this, researchers will conduct design and development research. The participants for this study will be the researchers that will design and develop the instructional material with the integration of AR technology and MATATAG Curriculum as its guide and the Physics as well as ICT experts that will serve as validators. The data collection and analysis will revolve around two phases: (1) the design and development of the Augmented Reality Instructional Material and (2) validation of the AR instructional material.
