Lived Experiences of Selected Public Schools District Supervisors in the Implementation of Rationalization Program: Inputs to Policy Enhancement

This study aimed to explore the lived experiences of selected public schools district supervisors in the Schools Division of Pampanga in the implementation of the Rationalization Program as Inputs to Policy Enhancement. The researcher employed qualitative-phenomenological study wherein 10 public schools district supervisors were purposely selected as participants of the study. To gather data, the researcher used validated semi-structured interview guide questions. The data that were collected were subjected to thematic analysis using six phases of Braun and Clarke (2013). Results show that PSDSs experiences in the Rationalization were summarized as follows: Confusing and Challenging Experiences, Experiences Lapses in Management of Resources and Fulfilling Experiences. In addition, the challenges of the participants were Conflict on Time between Monitoring Schools and Staying in the Division Office, Misunderstanding due to Communication Gaps and Culture Differences, Insufficient Preparation on Change and Transition and Unable to Voice Out Needs and Feedbacks. Finally, inputs for Policy Enhancement were proposed based on the findings of the study. The study will have implications on the improvement of policies related to rationalization.
