Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Professional Learning Packages
Synopsis
The HOTS Professional Learning Packages (PLPs) are designed for English/Reading, Mathematics, and Science teachers for Grades 7 to 10. These packages include a teachers resource and mentors guide, which contain HOTS items/questions based on the Structure of the Observed Learning Outcomes (SOLO) model. These packages aim to help teachers effectively use teaching strategies to improve their students; higher-order thinking skills, per the PPST Indicators 1.5.2 and 1.5.3. This will help students perform better in various international and national assessments and prepare them for the changing needs of 21st- century learners.
