Synopsis
The main goal of research is to understand the research problem and to come up with an answer or solution. Descriptive Research is a quantitative research methodology used to reveal comprehensive knowledge on a phenomenon, this can only be conducted using survey, observation, and case study. Survey is a flexible approach in collecting data, the most progressive way to gather information and collect insights from a sample of people, and it provides a critical source of data. Vast majority of individuals are familiar with surveys. We tend to get a lot of questionnaires to fill out and keep track of our opinion as a voter, to register customer product acceptance, and to measure electoral candidates’ perspective. Surveys have been generally used in education for many years. Many people consider surveys as simple as “survey” instrument, like a questionnaire or interview. But it has been designed to fulfill the goal of analyzing the frequencies and identifying patterns in the survey responses. Descriptive survey research design is used by several fields for numerous grounds like social research, market research, health research, politics, and psychology. There are different methods on how to conduct survey. It can be by means of telephone, mail, online or personal.
