Assessment of Multigrade Teaching Program: Basis for an Action Plan

This descriptive research study was conducted to assess the Multigrade Teaching Program in remote schools in the District II of Tanay, Division of Rizal. The assessed provisions and conditions of its status and the experienced challenges by the multigrade implementers from the identified components in running the program as well as the obtained benefits were gathered in an attempt to create an action plan as an additional platform for its efficacy. The researcher used the four-point Likert rating scale and the instrument was validated by five experts. In analyzing the data, Cronbach Alpha was used to assess the instrument’s reliability, and weighted mean to find the respondents’ perceptions. Based on the findings, the researcher recommended that the developed action plan for multigrade teaching program be adapted; that future researchers may conduct similar studies to address the feedback in this study; and that the newly developed and validated instrument be used also in similar program assessment activities with the same teaching delivery approach in other districts of Division of Rizal.
