Lifesaving are actions which within a short period of time, mitigate or avert direct loss of life, physical and psychological harm or threats to a population (Central Emergency Response Fund, 2010). Great honor and responsibility are placed on the shoulders of professionals who have pursued this career. Medical practitioners have been trained to recognize and respond to lifethreatening emergencies and similar critical situations, a reason why this profession is considered a life-saving one. The appropriate medication and treatment interventions they provide to their patients are geared towards saving and lengthening the patients’ lives. With this vital role in the society, becoming a medical practitioner is one of the most prestigious and reputable profession. In consideration of such prestige, medical practitioners are motivated to try their best in helping their patients’ conditions, not just in alleviating pain and illness, but somehow postponing death.
