K-3 Teachers' Theoretical Orientation and Instructional Practices in Beginning Reading
Synopsis
This study aimed to identify the beginning reading teachers' theoretical orientation in reading, describe their teaching practices in handling reading instruction, and find out the congruence between the two. Using the descriptive research design, data were gathered using the instrument of DeFord's Theoretical Orientation to Reading Profile (TORP), Classroom Observations, and open-ended interview.
